Linear Induction Drive

The Mantissa™ Linear Induction Drive (LID) Module is dual in design featuring two vertically mounted motors, which make the system less weight and wear dependent. As each motor closes the magnetic flux field for the other, the need for steel flux plates in each carrier is eliminated, saving approximately four pounds dead load per foot. The vertical design also allows for a large heat sink eliminating the need for a large amount of forced air-cooling.
