TipLoc™ II

When the Mantissa TipLoc II receives a "fire" message from Destination (Machine Level Control Software Package), the tipper arm rotates out.  When the tray has tipped, Destination turns the TipLoc II off causing the torsion spring in the bi-directional torsion actuator to rotate the arm back to the home position.  This prevents a cascading error (see link below) or chain of mis-sorts that can occur with traditional tipper arms, which are powered out and re-latched mechanically.  The TipLoc II can be configured with various design cam tracks to change the tipping profile.  The TipLoc II has an internal LED to indicate when a tip signal from Destination is present, and can be fired locally for diagnostics. The TipLoc II operates on 24 volts DC.
