Zebra® Automatic Inductor    

The Mantissa Zebra® Automatic Inductor can be used to singulate and accelerate product for induction onto the sorter.  Each automatic inductor has two or more belts, which synchronize the product speed with the sorter speed and an “induction” stage to induct the product onto the tilt tray sorter

Mechanical features of the new Zebra inductor include self-tensioning strip belts in the induction stage, which prolongs the life of the belts.  The quick-change belt feature allows any inductor belt to be changed and re-tensioned in less than five minutes.

Each automatic inductor stage is powered by a 1 HP AC inverter/motor combination drive. Each drive controls both acceleration and deceleration for that section.  The inductor is part of our machine control profi-bus network, which allows the status to be displayed in Destination™.  A beacon is used to indicate machine status.  The Zebra Inductor also includes an energy efficient sleep mode.
